Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Airport Pickup and Transfer to your Hotel.

Arrive at Kigali International Airport and be met by Arcadia Safaris driver/guide. You will take part in meet and greet, hear some comments by the driver about the safari and then head to Ruhengeri. Driving and overnight at your hotel

Destination: Kigali

Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park for Gorilla Trekking.

After breakfast you will be transfered to RDB  offices at 7:00 for a briefing and instructions by the guide concerning the trekking of gorillas and briefing by the Volcanoes National Park’s guides. It is important to bring good hiking boots, long trousers, gloves for protection against stinging nettles, snacks, and sufficient drinking water because it gets hot and humid during the day. You will spend an hour you will never forget with the gorillas. Return later in the evening to your hotel for lunch and later dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking at Volcanoes National Park.

On your third day, you will take part in a day of Golden Monkey trekking in Volcanoes National Park. During this trek, you will also have the opportunity to view the park’s volcanos. You will return for lunch at the hotel and then proceed to Gisenyi to visit the Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Head to your accommodation later in the evening for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Kivu for a Boat Cruise.

After breakfast, you will enjoy a morning boat ride on the lake and have a chance to see a variety of bird species and different water animals on the lake shore. Enjoy swimming at Serena Hotel Beach. You will enjoy dinner and your overnight stay at your accommodation.

Day 5: Kigali City Tour and Transfer to the Airport.

Be picked up at your hotel by our driver and take part in a Kigali city trip including a visit to the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gisozi. You will have a chance to interact with the local people; discover the artisanal products (collars, bracelets, etc.…), then transfer back to Kigali airport.
