A Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Airport Pickup and Transfer to Lake Manyara.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our senior safari guide-driver from Arcadia Safaris and after a short briefing you leave for the Lake Manyara National Park. It is the smallest of the famous safari circuit of northern Tanzania but with the most variety of habitat than the vast Serengeti national park, underground water forest, acacia wood land, the lake, marsh land, rivers and hillside savannah ample water birds gather around the water bodies and over 450 species have been noted the diverse vegetation provides a home for a wide variety of animals such as monkeys, baboons, giraffes, Elephants, Buffaloes, Zebras, Hippos, and if you are lucky you might catch a glimpse of the tree climbing loins {Don’t kill yourself on these but just take it as a bonus} Dinner and Overnight at your lodge.

 Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti National Park.

Following breakfast, you will be taken to the crater highlands which are fertile and where the farmers produce wheat, corn and coffee. You will drive past the Ngorongoro Crater before arriving at the Serengeti National Park plains by midday. The Serengeti is Tanzania’s largest park and contains a variety of habitats and landscapes such as short grass plains, dense bush, swamps, mountains, and lakes. Unusual rock outcrops called Kopjes strew the grassland with predators that you will often find. 4 Day Tanzania Wildlife Safari

Depending on the season you will witness the movement of thousands of animals for which this park is famous. During the short rainy season from November to December, the herds migrate from the north hills to the plains in the south. This cycle of life is completely dependent on the rains that come annually and the location of the herds may vary from year to year but your guide will have a notion of where to locate the animals and where to observe them best. Day 3: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

On day 3 of your safari, following breakfast, you shall be driven to the world-famous Ngorongoro. Early morning is a good time to view animals and therefore you shall be waking up early for an early morning game drive. You shall breakfast at the camp before undertaking a second game drive in the park. Here in the Seronera region you will often spot wildebeests and zebras in close range of lions and other predators such as leopards and cheetahs. After a picnic lunch you will continue on your journey to the Ngorongoro Crater. When you arrive at the top of the crater, you will have splendid views of this 600 m deep collapsed volcano. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Transfer back the Airport for Departure.

After a breakfast at first light you travel down the winding and steep road into the crater. The hillside is timbered but in no time at all the scenery opens up onto savannah. Here the fauna is just beautiful and if fortune smiles you may spot the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – within a few hours. You will also get an opportunity to see warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, hippos and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area. After a morning of game viewing and picnic lunch, you will leave the crater in the early afternoon to return to Arusha, arriving there in the early evening. Drop off at your hotel or to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your back home return flight. This completes our 4 Day Tanzania Wildlife Safari.
