A Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda and Transfer to your Accommodation.

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our friendly driver-guide from Arcadia Safaris who welcomes you to Uganda and transfers you to your accommodation. Depending on the time of your arrival, you may have an option to visit the beautiful Botanical Gardens in Entebbe or just have some relaxation time at your hotel from jet lag.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Wake up early, enjoy breakfast, and then set off for Murchison Falls National Park. En-route, drive to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rhinos on foot. Later, continue the drive to Murchison Fall National Park, arriving late this evening. Check in and have dinner at the residence. Overnight and prepare other adventure activities for your 14-Day Uganda-Rwanda Wildlife & Primates Safari tour.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Sundowner Boat Safari with Top of the Falls Hike.

Wake up early, have a full breakfast, and then go on a morning game drive across the park. Later, return to the lodge for a hot and delicious lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Nile for great views and the possibility of viewing wildlife. Later, relax with a sundowner or, for those energetic, take the hike to the Top of the Falls for a view never to be forgotten. Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.

Have breakfast in the morning and, after that, take some time to visit Top of the Falls for good breathtaking views. Later on, drive to Kibale Forest National Park, making a stop for lunch at Fort Portal town. You will then proceed with lunch and drive to your preferred accommodation for dinner and retirement. Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest National Park.

Wake up early, have a full breakfast, and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park headquarters for a briefing by a park ranger -guide. You will be allocated a chimpanzee group or family to trek. Once you locate these amazing primates, you will have an hour of observation and interaction with them before heading back to the park headquarters for your graduation ceremony, where you will be awarded your trekking certificates. Afterward, get into your vehicle and drive back to the lodge or hotel. Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an Evening Sunset Game Drive.

Check-in and lunch at the lodge are included, with the afternoon free for relaxation. Take an evening sunset game drive and try your luck at viewing some animals in this soft golden light. Day 7: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel.

Wake up in the wee hours of the morning, get a scrumptious breakfast, and then head out for another thrilling game drive. After your drive, head back to the lodge for a filling hot lunch. In the afternoon, go on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you will be able to see the groups of hippos, crocodiles, water birds, and other wildlife that come to drink at the channel, including various marine species. Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha Sector for Tree Climbing Lions.

At a relatively early time, drive away from breakfast and head southward via Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. An en-route stop is planned for the South sector circuit of Queen Elizabeth NP for sightings of its usual resident’s tree-climbing lions among other species that take priority in nature. The expected arrival will be later evening. Soon after checking-in, get ready for your meal and retreat for an Overnight stay thereafter.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Trail.

Start off with an early breakfast in the morning, and then transfer to the headquarters for a briefing. The visitors will be allocated a gorilla group or family that they will trek, after which they head out into the jungles to search out these magnificent Gentle Giants. You have one hour of observing and interacting with them when sighted. From there, head back to the park offices for your graduation, where you will be given a trekking certificate. Get into your vehicle and drive back to your lodge or hotel. Additional activities include a community walk, Batwa experience, and waterfall walk. Later in the evening, you can enjoy dinner and have a peaceful night.

Check-in, have a leisurely lunch, and take your afternoon at leisure. Optional activities include the Iwachu-Murugo visit or community walk for cultural experiences. Later, drive back to the hotel or lodge for dinner and overnight, getting ready for other experiences on your 14-Day Uganda-Rwanda Wildlife & Primates Safari.

Day 11: Trek Diana Fossey Grave or Golden Monkeys.

Wake up early in the morning, have a big breakfast, and then transfer to the park headquarters for this golden adventure. Go for either a golden monkey hike or a hike to Dian Fossey’s grave. Later, get back to your vehicle and drive back to your lodge or hotel for relaxation. Have dinner and overnight in peacefulness.

Day 12: Transfer to Kigali for a City Tour – 14 Day Uganda-Rwanda Wildlife & Primates Safari.

Take an early morning breakfast, then transfer to Kigali in time for lunch. Arrive and check in at your hotel or lodge for a restful meal. After lunch, do a city tour starting with a visit to Gisozi Genocide Memorial and Caplaki craft village. If time allows, head to Nyamirambo, the oldest suburb in Kigali, rich in different cultures with influences from the Arab-like atmosphere.
