A Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Airport Pickup and Transfer to Amboseli.
After early morning pickup, you will be driven by our senior safari guide-driver from Arcadia Safaris to Amboseli National Park. Then check into your accommodation and have lunch. Afterwards, enjoy an afternoon game drive. Located due south of Nairobi, this park borders Tanzania. In General, the park consists of a dry ancient lakebeds with fragile grassland sprinkled in a couple areas of acacia woodland, which also includes minor, rocky hills of volcanic in origin in a southern area, while in its north around marshes OlKenya, OLtukai an Enkong Narok a lush woodlands of yellow acacia and Doum palm is found.

Day 2: Full Day of Exploring Amboseli National Park.
Day 2: You will wake up early for better views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, before the clouds build up around the summit, and a packed lunch is provided. Optional Maasai Village visit after having your breakfast. It illustrates how singing and dancing play parts in their lives and sacred activities. A trip to their dwelling and ways of life takes your breath away. Despite its changing habitat, Amboseli National Park is arguably the best wildlife area in all of Africa for viewing elephants up close. Less hassled by poachers, elephants feeding and bathing in the swamps must form a highlight of any safari.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Naivasha.
After your early morning breakfast, you will have an early morning drive to Lake Naivasha, highest and most beautiful of the Rif Valley lakes. At 1910m (6200f) the water is fresh and the lake is fringed with dense clumps of papyrus (ancient Egyptians once used this to make paper). Kingfishers use the papyrus as a perch, herons hide in it while searching for food.
Naivasha is yet another area popular for bird watching; over 400 species have been recorded. The area is a favorite weekend retreat for Nairobi residents who come to this area sailing, water ski and fish. There are no crocodiles in the lake since the water is too cold for them but at the altitude, there is a number of hippos. Vineyards have been set along the lakeshores, which grows grapes for the country’s developing wine industry.

Day 4: Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve.
On day 4 of your safari, after breakfast depart early in the morning to Maasai Mara National Reserve. On arrival, have lunch then an afternoon game drive. Mara holds on as one of the few places on earth where wildlife still lives comparatively undisturbed, in the numbers that once roamed the plains and forests of Africa. As the northern tip of the huge Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of many thousands of wildebeest, zebras and attendant predators.

Day 5: Full Day of Game Drives in Maasai Mara.
You will have a full day game drive after breakfast, with packed lunch. The reserve is well known for its black-maned lion, as well as its abundant resident wildlife and its one of the few places where it’s possible to see the Big Five during a morning game drive; Many of the cheetahs are so tame that they seek shelter from the hot sun under one’s vehicle and several even climb onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey. To the bird enthusiast, almost 500 species have been recorded: among these 16 species of eagle, many hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks 4 of bustard (including the kori bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird), and 9 species of sunbirds.

Day 6: Transfer Back to the Airport for Departure.
On this last day of your safari, you will have a morning game drive in Maasai Mara and in the afternoon, you will transfer to Nairobi. Lunch will be en route and then after having your Lunch you will be driven to the Airport for your outbound flight back home. This shall be the end of our amazing 6 Day Amboseli – Naivasha and Maasai Mara Tour.
