Your private safari guide will collect you after your breakfast for your transfer to Tarangire. In the wayside, scenic Maasai plains dotted with acacia trees, villages dot the way with young Maasai herders in brightly colored clothing either walking or on bicycles, tending to their livestock.
Tarangire National Park takes its name from the Tarangire River, which is the lifeblood of the park. The wildlife congregates along its banks, especially during the dry season in elephant numbers. Besides the giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, the predators following these animals like lions and leopards can also be seen. The park also hosts more bird species than any other place on Earth against a background of magnificent, ancient baobab trees.
After this game drive filled with excitement, you will proceed to a comfortable middle-class lodge for dinner in a cozy atmosphere and an overnight stay in a restful surrounding.

You will also make your way to a small museum that has inclusions of several of the incredible discoveries by Dr. Leakey and his wife-an insight into ancient times.
On this 10 Day Wildlife and Kilimanjaro Cultural Safari, game drives in the Serengeti expose you to a myriad of wildlife: elephants, wildebeests, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, zebras, hyenas, and many others. Day 4: Full Day Exploration in Serengeti National Park.
This day is dedicated to the game drives in the breathtaking Serengeti-a place of wonder and endless horizons. Renowned for its great expanses of grasslands, the Serengeti is proud to show amazing sightings at every turn. Being both Tanzania’s oldest national park and one of Earth’s most ancient ecosystems, the climate and landscapes have changed very little in millions of years.
Variety is the spice of life, and though Serengeti has many, its primary claims to fame are made by the Great Migration. In connection with the rains and nature’s rhythm, large herds of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes migrate looking for greener grass.
Later in the day, after an exciting exploration, you will be transferred back to your accommodation for a delicious dinner and rest time under the star-studded African sky.

Make it really exciting with upgrading your safari with a sunrise hot air balloon safari, where you will be floating above the endless plain and have a champagne breakfast in the wild. Just ask your Lion King Tour consultant, and he will include this once-in-a-lifetime experience into your safari.
The rest of the day you will spend game driving in the Serengeti, watching the rich wildlife, vibrant birdlife, and dynamic landscapes.

Day 7: Transfer from Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu.
First contact with the Ngorongoro Crater gives one a feeling of traveling through time into another world which has forgotten about this one. Curbed in by steep volcanic walls, an unblemished virgin landscape of open savannas, broadleaf woodlands, and deep lakes and swamps lies protected. It formed from the result of a massive volcano that erupted and collapsed around 2 to 3 million years ago, and the crater is known not only for its geological splendor but also as a sanctuary for some of the most densely packed large mammal populations in Africa.
In fact, the adventure lies in the descent into the crater. The moment you arrive at the floor itself, you’re surrounded by huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. A great opportunity to sight the truly elusive and endangered black rhino is when it grazes in the open grasslands of the crater.
After a great day touring, you will drive to the nearby town of Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay, well-earned.

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Manyara NP and Later to Arusha.
After a scrumptious breakfast, you will drive to your ultimate destination on this safari: Lake Manyara National Park. Insanely small, pretty Lake Manyara is a birdwatcher’s dream and famous for its tree-climbing lions. To the west, the park borders the dramatic western escarpment of the Rift Valley, while in the east, you will find the shallow alkaline Lake Manyara.
This lake, which is in a flood and dry-up cycle, churns out thousands of flamingos during the wet period of the year. The name “Manyara” emanates from the Maasai word ’emanyara,’ a plant utilized in the construction of the protective enclosure around homesteads.
From open savannahs to evergreen forest, the varied vegetation of the park is mixed. Exploring this are of the country, you will catch sight of giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, and if you are lucky, lions lounging in the trees.
Later on, after having a delicious lunch, drive back to Arusha, arriving early evening, with great experiences from the safari.
