A Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to your Hotel in Kampala.

Having been treated to a delicious breakfast, our guide-driver will be fetching you from your hotel in Kampala and driving to Murchison Falls National Park. You will pass along the Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only home for endangered rhinos found in the wild in Uganda, and take a guided nature walk to see these gentle giants and learn about important conservation efforts to protect these enormous beasts. 10 Day Best of of Uganda Safari.

Following your visit to the sanctuary, you’ll head up northwestern to Murchison Falls National Park. It is considered to be among the great parks in Uganda with Murchison Fall-the most captivating fall along the Nile. Arrive at the park and then enter into your accommodation, get some time for relaxation, and take in some breathtaking scenery around the park area.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive, Afternoon Boat Cruise and Top of the Falls Hike.

On day three, after enjoying your breakfast, you will begin the day with an early morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. With your guide, you will head into a 4×4 vehicle to look for animals such as lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, among others. The park has over 450 bird species, offering plenty of opportunities to see a wide range of feathered creatures. You will take different tracks as you explore the park; these include Victoria, Albert, and Queen’s track, up to the delta region, which is filled with hippos and other aquatic life.

Following the game drive, you return to your accommodation for lunch and some time to rest. Later in the afternoon, take a boat cruise up the stream of the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls. The boat ride is such a great opportunity to come across wildlife like hippos, crocodiles, and a range of bird species. You will also head up close to the falls so that you can take some un-forgettable photos of the same. Later you will drive back to your lodge for a peaceful evening spent with dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.

On the fourth day, after having your breakfast, you will depart to Kibale Forest National Park from Murchison Falls. The journey will take you through the picturesque countryside to have views of traditional Ugandan villages and markets en route. Located in western Uganda, Kibale Forest National Park is notable for its population of chimpanzees. Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Wetland Walk and Later Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP.

On the fifth day, after having your breakfast, you will go chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park. Your adventure will start with a briefing by a park ranger, who will inform you about the rules and regulations for trekking, and also the behavior and characteristics of the chimpanzees. You will then have a guided hike in the forest in search of chimpanzees and other primates such as colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and more. Once you locate a group of chimpanzees, you will spend up to one hour observing and photographing them. Later, you will return to the lodge for lunch after the chimpanzee tracking.

The whole afternoon will be spent in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary in a guided walk through the swamp. This is your chance to see lots of flora and fauna in Bigodi Wetland. In that time, you will also spot lots of butterflies, birds, and other insects. From there, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is a western Uganda park and is known to be one of the most biodiversity-rich parks in the world, with a variety of animals such as elephants, lions, leopards, hippos, and many more. You will then arrive and check into your lodge or campsite, with some time to relax.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise Along Kazinga Channel.

Right after breakfast, you will go for the morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. With the help of your driver-guide in a four-wheel-drive vehicle, you shall look out for animals such as elephants, lions, leopards, hyenas, buffaloes, among others. After the game drive, you will go back to your accommodation for lunch and some rest. You will have a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward, in the afternoon. This boat ride offers a great chance to see wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and many species of birds. You will also view local fishermen at work and learn about their traditional way of fishing.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

On day seven, after enjoying your breakfast, you will check out of Queen Elizabeth National Park for a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey will take you through various awe-inspiring sceneries. You will have great opportunities to see Ugandan local and busy villages and markets in the countryside as you proceed toward the different parts. Their captivating features will surely bring lifelong memories.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Trail in Bwindi and Later Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.

Following breakfast early in the morning, you will go for the gorilla trek in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. A briefing from a park ranger precedes your adventure in regard to the rules and regulations of trekking the gorillas and insight into their behaviors and characteristics. The time after the briefing starts will have you embark on an guided hike through the thick forest in search of the family of gorillas. After the gorilla trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch and some well-deserved rest. Once refreshed, you will enjoy a cultural encounter with the Batwa people, the indigenous inhabitants of the forest. Later in the day, you will drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Arriving at the park, you will check in to your booked accommodation, relax from the long drive, enjoy a great dinner, and retire for the night.

Day 9: Morning Game Drive and Night Game Drive in Lake Mburo NP.

On day nine, after breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. In the company of your guide, you take a 4×4 drive through the park’s scenic savannah dotted with zebras, impalas, buffaloes, and topis. The park also boasts over 300 bird species, which presents one of the best opportunities to see a number of bird species. In the evening, you will go on a very exciting night game drive in Lake Mburo National Park, known for its tremendous number of impalas and nocturnal wildlife. You will follow a network of tracks and see animals like hyenas, warthogs, waterbucks, among others, in their night habitat. Day 10: Horseback Riding and Transfer Back to Entebbe.

After breakfast, you will go on a horseback ride that gives you a great chance to see wildlife up close while enjoying the landscapes of Lake Mburo National Park. End the ride and head to the lodge for lunch and check-out. This will provide the perfect start for your journey back to Kampala.

You will arrive in Kampala in the late afternoon and be dropped off at your accommodation or at Entebbe International Airport for your onward journey.
