Fishing at Murchison Falls National Park offers a remarkable and rewarding experience for anglers and nature enthusiasts alike. Murchison Falls National Park is located in northern Uganda and is one of the most famous and diverse wildlife reserves in East Africa. The park is named after the breathtaking Murchison Falls, where the Nile River surges through a narrow gorge, creating a powerful and stunning waterfall.

The park’s abundant waterways, which include the Nile River and its tributaries, provide excellent fishing opportunities. The Nile Perch is the most sought-after species in these waters, known for its large size and impressive fighting abilities. Other species that can be found here include catfish, tiger fish, tilapia, and various types of bream.

Fishing expeditions are typically conducted in boats, and you’ll have the chance to witness the park’s diverse wildlife, including elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species, as you navigate the waterways to find the best fishing spots.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival and Pickup at Entebbe International Airport.

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by our driver-guide tour guide who will transfer you to your accommodation to rest and recover from your journey. Have dinner and briefing about the upcoming fishing safari then an overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.

After morning breakfast, you will depart to Murchison Falls National Park (approx. 5-6 hours drive). You will have a stop -over in Nakasongola for your Lunch, enroute visit to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino trekking and you will also visit top of the falls. We shall continue our way to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Full day of Fishing on the Nile at Murchison Falls – 4 Day Murchison Falls Fishing Safari.

After morning breakfast, you will get your packed lunch and the boat will pick you up from the lodge for your full day fishing experience at the bottom of the falls and through rulers at the famous baker’s rock and devil’s cauldrons before heading to the pools downstream of the falls to Live bait Fishing.

Day 4: Transfer to Entebbe for your outbound Flight.
