Day 1: Airport Pickup and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Your journey begins with a warm welcome from the Arcadia Safaris team at Entebbe International Airport. After a brief introduction, your guide will drive you through Uganda’s scenic countryside to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorillas.
Along the way, enjoy beautiful landscapes, bustling roadside markets, and insights into Uganda’s vibrant rural life. Day 2: Gorilla Habituation Experience in Bwindi and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Rise early for the highlight of your safari – the Gorilla Habituation Experience. After breakfast, your guide will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing by experienced rangers. Unlike regular trekking, this experience allows you to spend up to 4 hours observing a gorilla family as they go about their day in the wild.
Watch as researchers gently acclimate the gorillas to human presence. You’ll witness feeding, playing, and grooming behaviors up close – a deeply moving and educational encounter unlike any other. After this unique experience, you will receive a certificate as a memento and then head back to your lodge for lunch and a short rest.
Later in the afternoon, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, a scenic crater lake dotted with 29 islands. Check in at your lakeside lodge, enjoy dinner, and relax amidst the tranquil highland atmosphere.

Day 3: Exploring Lake Bunyonyi and Transfer Back to Entebbe
Start your day with breakfast overlooking the crystal waters and rolling hills of Lake Bunyonyi. Spend the morning canoeing, swimming, or relaxing by the shore, taking in the tranquil beauty of this scenic lake dotted with small islands. After lunch on your lodge’s veranda, embark on a boat tour to explore the islands, where you can engage with local communities and learn about their culture and traditions.
